From the Classroom to the Gallery…Check out this Exhibition Opportunity!

Don't miss out on this opportunity to show your work....and best of all, there are no entry fees!!!

So here is a great opportunity to take all of your efforts from this past year and turn it into a chance to show your work beyond the walls of MICA. The Michael Mazzeo Gallery in NYC is currently seeking submissions to an online exhibition called Class Pictures, the deadline is June 16th. For more info you can also see their blog.

In addition the ISE CULTURAL FOUNDATION is pleased to present “Art Students’ Exhibition in NY”. This exhibition offers art students a place to exhibit their artwork in SOHO. We are exhibiting all submitted artworks by art students from all over the world. We will invite the celebrated art professionals as Jurors, who will be awarding selected works at the Award Ceremony/Closing Party after the exhibition. Also, the New York City Audience Award will be determined by the votes of the audience.

You may also find this of note. The Denver Post has put together an extraordinary collection of images showing the stunning impact caused by the massive oil leak in the Gulf. I think these images help reaffirm the power found in photography.

And while we are looking and thinking about these images, here is an interesting link discussing the issues surrounding Stock Photos and Copyrights. When you have a chance take a moment, and give it a look…
