LG is sponsoring a competition among 9 art colleges in the US (SMFA, Pratt, LCAD, MICA, CIA, PNCA, Parsons, SFAI and RISD) in the field of digital art. Current students are invited to enter examples of their digital artwork for consideration. One MICA student will win $5,000. That winner will have the chance to win an additional $5,000 if selected to be the grand prize winner among competitors from all 9 colleges
The Art of the Pixel Contest (the “Contest”) is not open to the general public and is restricted to students who are enrolled, as of the start of the Contest Period, at a participating school that received an invitation to participate (the “Participating School”) and are legal residents of the 50 United States, including the District of Columbia, age 17 or older at the time of entry. There will be no more than ten (10) Participating Schools. Void outside the U.S. and wherever else prohibited by law. Employees of LG Electronics USA, Inc. (the “Sponsor”) and its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate family members of, and/or those living in the same household of each, are not eligible to enter. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
CONTEST TIMING: The Contest begins at 12:00:01 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) on Sunday, June 1, 2014 and ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on Sunday, August 10, 2014 (the “Contest Period”) and consists of three (3) phases: the Contest Entry Phase, Public Voting Phase, and Judging Phase, as represented in the chart below. The Contest Administrator’s computer is the official timekeeping device for this Contest.

HOW TO ENTER: Eligible participants may enter the Contest by visiting www.LGUSA.com/LGSupportsTheArts (the “Contest Site”), completing the entry form in its entirety, including your name, Participating School, email address, mailing address and phone number, and uploading your original work of digital art in either still format or moving image format (the “Digital Artwork”) and an artist statement explaining your Digital Artwork (the “Artist Statement”) (the “Contest Entry”). If submitting a moving image as Digital Artwork, participant must also submit a still frame of their Digital Artwork with their Contest Entry. There is a limit of one (1) entry per person.
