MICA students collaborate with students from South Africa
MICA Photo Students Working in Global Collaboration
Rudine Opperman’s Spilled Milk forms part of CUT’s latest exhibition, “Memory”.
MICA photography professor, Colette Veasey-Cullors, is leading a class that is using the internet to collaborate with art students in South Africa. Her class is “Social Documentary in Photography”, and her students are getting a unique opportunity to begin an ongoing collaborative effort between MICA photo students and the art students in the Department of Design and Studio Art at Bloemfontein’s Central University of Technology (CUT) in South Africa. Thirteen students from each institution will produce a collaborative body of work that will be simultaneously displayed at both colleges beginning on April 27th.
