Jay Gould selected as HEMI/MICA Extreme-Arts-Program artist in residence

Jay_Gould_272x381MICA Photo is proud to announce that our own Jay Gould has been selected as the first Artist in Residence for the HEMI/MICA Extreme Arts Program. The goal of this artist/designer in residence position is to bring MICA and JHU faculty together to collaborate and explore ways to represent, visualize, and/or interpret HEMI research. Jay will be working with JHU during the Spring semester, beginning in January 2016, and hopes to give them a new set of analogies and context for their research that may allow it to reach out beyond their peers and intrigue new audiences who are completely unaware of their work.

“I believe that many of us often look to science in a similar way that we look at art, not for cold calculation, but for a story, something amazing , and a new mystery for our minds to unravel.” ~ Jay Gould
