Matthew Pillsbury is coming to MICA…
Matthew Pillsbury has been commissioned to do a portrait of Stuart Cooper in the atrium of Main building. This will happen during the day on Monday at approximately 11:00AM. He’ll need people walking on the stairs, and is open to anyone being there to be part of the shoot. He will also give a presentation of his work during a lecture in the afternoon.
Shoot: Main Building Lobby at 11:00AM
Artist presentation: M010 at 4:00PM
“Pillsbury specializes in long-exposure photographs made only with available light. Across several series and in many cities, he has focused on the passage of time and people within spaces both public and private. His work has addressed the growing role that technology is playing in our lives and the sense of modern seclusion that can seem at odds with the constant connectivity being offered by our smartphones and tablets.” ~ Quote courtesy of Benrubi Gallery
