Charlie Rincon-Rodriguez (Born Carlos Enrique Rincon-Rodriguez) is a multidisciplinary visual artist and fashion designer. Born June 13th 1996 in Caracas, Venezuela, he began to express interest in the arts at a very young age, ranging from theater and performance to painting to making miniature sculptural recreations of characters from popular movies or television. After completing his high school education and graduating, he attended the Maryland Institute College of Art where he began experimenting with materials and eventually selecting neon as his medium of choice along with other materials to accompany these neon creations while earning a minor in fashion and working with digital photography. After interning for Opera Gallery, Charlie was selected to have his first solo exhibition titled “self-centered” at the Maryland Institute College of Art Fall 2017, debuting his first fashion line and graduating Spring 2018. Charlie has created work that comes from experience, abstracting memory and heavily focusing on eroticism, sexuality, vanity, and insecurity through the use of color, language and reflection.”
Kudos go out to Charlie for this significant accomplishment!
